Connecting Craters to Impactors

Impact crater records across the solar system can provide powerful insights into the populations of objects bombarding these surfaces. I research statistical methods to determine the properties of the source populations of these impactors from crater records, with particular emphasis on developing Bayesian model-selection frameworks to rigorously test competing hypotheses about the impactor populations and their evolution. I have applied these methods to the crater records of the Earth, the Moon, Titan, Pluto, and Charon.
